2007-2008 Program Details:
A Special Opportunity for Members! Deadline to apply is 11/14/07!
Are you looking for a new corporate logo, creative marketing materials, or an innovative design for your web site? If so, the Mass Technology Leadership Council's annual Boston University Student Design Project may be just what you're looking for! Member companies get a fresh design perspective and students get a meaningful educational experience.
Member Companies Are Responsible For:
· Defining a specific project (web site, logo, etc)
· Designating a program representative who will meet with the assigned students approximately three times during the four-month period from January to April. These meetings are intended to provide direction, feedback, and support for the projects. · Reimbursing students for the cost of their art supplies (a maximum of $100 per student).
· If a company chooses to use a design for commercial purposes, it is responsible for negotiating and paying an equitable fee ($500-$1500) to the student.
BU Faculty Members Are Responsible For:
· Matching corporate projects with several graduate-level students, each of whom creates and presents to the company his/her own design.
· Overseeing the projects that represent the major portion of the students' grade for the spring term.
TO PARTICIPATE, Member Companies must:
1. Respond to the Council at ann@masstlc.org by the deadline of Wednesday, November 14, 2007!
2. Send a representative to attend the Kickoff Meeting to present the company project to the students.
The BU Kickoff Meeting will be held at Boston University on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Student/company projects are scheduled to be displayed on the Council's website, providing great exposure for both the students and the participating companies. Three of the student's designs will be awarded prizes.
Space is limited. If you would like to take advantage of this unique program or for more information, contact the Council at ann@masstlc.org or 617-437-0600 x10.
